The Cubera Mine holds the distinction of being the very first mine ever developed in the world of MU Online. For a time it was a thriving source of gemstones and minerals, until everything changed when a group of Kundun worshippers performed a dark ritual at a nearby altar. Shortly after, monsters began appearing within the mine. What started as only a handful of creatures slowly grew into an uncontrollable infestation, forcing the mine to be closed and abandoned for many years. However, with gemstones and minerals becoming increasingly scarce across the continent, the Cubera Mine has once again drawn visitors — not miners, but warriors willing to fight their way through the monster-infested tunnels in search of the valuable resources that still lie within its depths.
